Meadowlark sings
of a morning moon~
an orchestra carols
back to spread the news ♥

Learn from nature to blossom ~
expend less energy in the unfolding
than in maintaining the tight bud.
When we open ourselves
the blooms around us
tend to follow suit ♥

The water, like glass
so still with life
asks us to do
what it does without effort ~ reflect ♥

photo & poem April 2012
I, on an early evening
walk around the pond
with camera in hand
stop to listen to the song.
Fish jump from the water
a dog barks in the distance
a dove coos from overhead
beavers splash their tails
and a red-winged blackbird
perches so close that I freeze~
He sings of sunset
and his family sings
in response.
I silently
tap the shutter
to lengthen
this moment.

The child within wants to rest in the grass and look for elephants ~

No matter the length of visit in our lives, long or brief, every Soul blossoms with purpose ♥
