Breath

heart

I am
the unseen.
I am
that which points
to that which
Is
and the         space
in between.

I snap
banners of all
earth,
billow
square rigs and curtains;
ripple,
oceans and inlets;
careen
willows and redwoods;
rustle
wheat grass and thistle.

I toss
straw hats,
sail
plastic boats,
soar
paper planes,
float
clouds
into forever
changing
shapes.

I carry the
sweet of lilacs,
smoke of campfires,
salt of the deep blue,
pine of the forest,
green of the apples,
stench of the refuge.

I open doors
and close them.
I am
the push of warmth—
the pull of cold.
I cycle the
dust,
leaves, and
that which You
discard.

I am
the tumble in weeds.
I am
the music
in chimes.
I am
the driver
of  rain,
snow,
of the lifting
fog.

I am
Everywhere
Always.
Never
will I leave
You.

And ever
those times
You feel
I am
too strong,
rattle too
many windows
clatter too
many shutters
vibrate too
quickly,
I remind You
of Me.

You feel Me
stroke your face
tap your shoulder
whisper through your hair.

I am
That which
You carry
within.

I am
and so
You are.
